Lafayette Pair Win Wild Turkey
Doubles Tournament
Indianapolis - The annual
Wild Turkey Bourbon Doubles Tournament was held April 2 and 3 at
Rushville Bowl in Rushville.
Teammates Kathy Kelp and Maureen
Earhart from Market Square Lanes, Lafayette took the title with a
total of 1,433 pins.
Twelve teams competed in the
tournament. Each pair bowled a total of three games. After the third
game, handicaps were figured in to get the pairs overall score. The
team with the highest pin total won.
Of the twelve participating teams,
seven were competing as representatives of Rushville Bowl. Jim
Ephlin, owner of Rushville Bowl, not only served as tournament
director for this event, but competed as well. Ephlin and partner,
Pat Boyle, came in 22 pins behind the first place winners to take
second place.
Throughout the event, all
participants were entered in a door prize raffle. Prizes given away,
courtesy of Wild Turkey Bourbon, include “Team Turkey” retro bowling
shirts, neon clocks and tool belts.

Tournament is an annual event, hosted by various Indiana bowling
